Lead Med Tech

Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of care prescribed and provided to the resident.
- Assigns responsibilities to team members for direct care during each tour of duty based on resident load, and the emotional, social, and care needs of each resident.
- Interviews residents to determine medical concern/condition and documents in chart for physician.
- Obtains and records resident vital signs and weight.
- Administers and documents medications given by following specifically written physician orders.
- Performs various treatments not requiring license nurse (hot/cold applications, vital signs, weights, etc.)
- Observes, records, and reports observations such as unexpected and untoward effects from medications.
- Takes vital signs as needed prior to administration of certain medications.
- Provides direct resident care and functions as a CNA when not assigned to administer medications.
- Performs rounds three times during shift.
- Supervises Med Techs, CNAs, and Caregivers.
- Current CNA certificate.
- QMA Certificate in good standing preferred.
- One-year previous experience in Senior Living.
