Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and optimal performance
- Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development to uphold service standards and food quality
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and adherence to safety protocols across all kitchen functions
- Supervise inventory control procedures to minimize waste and maintain accurate stock levels using POS systems
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile registers at shift end
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards to deliver a safe dining experience for guests
- Support hiring processes by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members
- Monitor customer service quality, address guest concerns promptly, and promote a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food restaurants
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management with culinary experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and sales tracking
