Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment, assisting with daily activities, classroom management, and ensuring a safe and engaging space for young learners. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and curriculum.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtime, naptime, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and addressing minor behavioral issues.
- Help with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving needs for toddlers.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety standards.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques.
- First aid certification is highly preferred to ensure safety during emergencies.
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work well with children demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience with behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions.
- Compassionate caregiver with a nurturing attitude towards young children.
