Cedar Springs Public Schools invites devoted educators to apply for the open position of Elementary Resource Room Teacher (.6 FTE) that's available starting in the 2021-2022 school year. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with special education endorsement
- Must meet Highly Qualified requirements
- Required Endorsement (in at least one): Learning Disabled, Emotionally Impaired, Cognitive Impaired or Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Preferred endorsements in at least one: Emotionally Impaired, Cognitive Impaired, or Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Extensive experience in behavior management
- Evidence of a positive attitude and human relationship skills
- Knowledge/interest in working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters
- Excellent team and interpersonal skills
- Possess high levels of adaptability
SALARY AND BENEFITS As per the negotiated agreement with the CSEA

Cedar Springs Public Schools is a Preschool through 12th-grade public school consisting of over 3,500 students and nearly 400 employees. We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). We are unique in that our schools are all located within a single campus setting with the exception of the Middle School which is located 1 mile south of the main campus. The setting is secure, picturesque, and allows easy access for families participating in activities for more than one child.
