Full-Time Service Technician
Cedar Ridge Dairy – Filer, Idaho
Cedar Ridge Dairy is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Full-Time Service Technician to join our team at our Filer location. This position will perform routine service and preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet ranging from light-duty gasoline vehicles and equipment to heavy-duty diesel equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine lubrication of chassis and equipment components.
- Change engine oils, additives, filters, and other fluids on a variety of gasoline and diesel engines.
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic service on vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct thorough maintenance inspections and identify and document deficiencies needing repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow established safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, mechanics, operators, and other team members.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop additional mechanical skills.
- Perform other service and maintenance duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical systems, including lights, switches, fuses, wiring, and related components.
- Ability to identify basic steering, suspension, and other mechanical deficiencies.
- Experience performing vehicle or equipment preventative maintenance inspections.
- Previous experience servicing agricultural, automotive, truck, or heavy equipment is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Must have basic personal hand tools, including sockets, wrenches, and similar tools.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be dependable and able to work with limited supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
