We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. This vital role involves managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth clinic workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical office procedures, and experience with electronic health record systems.
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent patient service at all times.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to facilitate accurate billing processes.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including documentation review and data entry.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, maintaining clear communication with patients and providers.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies.
- Proven experience in medical office management or as a medical receptionist within a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management standards.
- Excellent phone etiquette, typing skills (including 10-key), and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
