Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Hospital Float

Cedar Park Med is looking to hire a CNA for immediate openings Med/Surg Float Pool.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your skills and dedication make a real impact. Level 1 trauma experience is preferred.

Schedule/shift:
Day, Evening, and Night shifts available. 6, 12-hour shifts in two weeks period. Every other weekend is required.

Hiring for both local and traveler positions! Only candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for traveler roles. Rates vary based on experience and whether the position is local or traveler.

Position Overview:
As a CNA in Med Surg, you will deliver direct and indirect nursing care activities such as obtaining vital signs, assisting with toileting, bathing, and feeding, and working as a safety companion to patients who are identified as safety risks. You will collaborate with the healthcare team across multiple units, adapting to patient needs and providing compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, toileting, feeding, and obtaining vital signs.

• Serve as a safety companion for patients at risk.

• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.

• Maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with healthcare standards.

• Respond to changing patient needs while demonstrating knowledge of growth and development.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.

• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.

• Promote positive public relations and patient satisfaction.

• Participate in ongoing professional development.

• Make ethical decisions in all aspects of patient care.

Requirements:

• Current New York State CNA certification.

• BLS certification (required).

• Minimum of one year of ACUTE CARE patient experience.

• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.

• Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
