Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is searching for a RN Charge Nurse to become a part of our facility’s compassionate care-giving team.

Job Summary for RN Charge Nurse:

To assist unit manager to oversee and direct the day-to-day patient care. Supervising, directing and developing nursing staff and Reporting to the Unit Manager to ensure quality patient care on the Unit.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with license in good standing.
• Experience in Acute Care within the last two years
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Recent Charge Nurse experience
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, sales representatives, and the public.
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring staff adheres to workplace protocols and procedures
• Overseeing the smooth transition from one shift to the other
• Acting as a liaison between nurses and doctors
• Creating and evaluating staffing plans and schedules
• Checking the availability of patient supplies and medications
• Maintaining and restoring health of residents
• Acting as a main point of contact between residents and their families
• Addressing and preventing concerns from family members
• Evaluating, prioritizing and meeting the care needs of each resident
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
