Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments, and returns.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos.
• Manage the cash drawer with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales and improve the customer experience.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store presentation.
• Conduct product demos when applicable, educating customers on features and benefits to encourage purchases.
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries over the phone or via online channels.
• Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and assisting with product replenishment as needed.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills within the team to ensure seamless store operations and customer satisfaction.
• Apply basic math skills for transaction accuracy, retail math calculations, and balancing cash registers at shift end.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail settings are a plus, demonstrating your ability to oversee daily operations and mentor team members.
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and cashiering procedures is advantageous.
• Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management will enhance your success in this role.
• Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers professionally.
• Basic math proficiency is necessary for accurate cash handling, sales calculations, and balancing registers.
