Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR and Payroll Administrator to join our site construction team. Duties
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and tax regulations
- Maintain and update employee records within HRIS platforms, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Reconcile payroll accounts through analysis of general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software like QuickBooks or similar financial tools
- Handle time & attendance data entry from Kronos or other time management systems to ensure precise payroll calculations
- Manage payroll tax filings, including deductions, remittances, and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and vendor payments
- Assist with employment law compliance by staying current on labor law changes and implementing necessary updates in payroll procedures
- Prepare detailed reports on payroll processing, labor costs, and financial analysis using spreadsheets and accounting software for internal review
Experience
- Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate accounting environment with familiarity in payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian, or Kronos
- Strong understanding of employment & labor law, tax law, and financial concepts related to payroll processing
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms like UltiPro or PeopleSoft for employee data management
- Demonstrated ability in general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or similar) for data analysis and reporting purposes
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements across different jurisdictions
- Construction knowledge preferred but not required
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analysis skills for financial data review
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
