What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Cedar Lake Metal Solutions?
Quality Control Specialist is responsible for inspecting, testing, and documenting part findings, by adhering to company procedures and standards. Ensuring all parts and materials meet or exceed quality standards to eliminate/reduce the defect returns and associated costs.
Typical duties and responsibilities
- Monitor operations to ensure they meet the approved standards
- Maintain detailed records of quality control testing
- Inspect, test, and measure products and materials using gauges, calipers, pins and micrometers
- Utilize electronic inspection equipment to ensure products are inspected to a high standard
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures
- Inspect manufactured products or parts to ensure they meet production and quality standards
- Ensure products meet customer expectations
Qualifications
- Min 2 years of manufacturing production and/or quality control experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to use a computer
- Daily standing position and lifting variety of parts, sizes, and weights (up to 40 lbs. but most under 2 lbs.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
