Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Scheduler to join our fabrication team. The primary responsibility of this role is to create, maintain, and coordinate production schedules for the manufacturing process, ensuring optimal efficiency, resource utilization, and on-time delivery of customer orders. The ideal candidate will be a logistical problem solver who can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a Day Shift full time position
Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Fridays if needed are paid at 1.5 times normal wage (after 40 hrs. are reached that pay period)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, capacity planning, and material availability.
- Monitor production status and adjust schedules as necessary due to equipment malfunctions, labor issues, or design changes.
- Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements to maximize efficiency and throughput.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the production team, procurement, quality control, and sales to coordinate activities and resolve potential scheduling conflicts.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, assisting with cycle counts and ensuring adequate stock availability to prevent shortages.
- Track production progress and provide status updates to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Compile and prepare documentation and reports related to production sequences, schedules, and overall progress.
- Identify and resolve issues that may disrupt the production schedule, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
