Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Care Attendant to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This position requires availability for the following shifts: 1st shift (6:45 am - 3:15 pm), 2nd shift ( 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm), and 3rd shift (10:45 pm - 7:15 am). The ideal candidate is caring, attentive, and committed to providing exceptional support to our residents while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout shifts.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide nighttime support, including safety checks and assistance as needed
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the appropriate supervisor or nurse
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Follow all community policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Document care and services provided as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to work overnight hours (10:45 PM – 7:15 AM) on an as-needed basis (required)
- Dependable, professional, and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
