Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment, supplies, and sterile instruments are available and functioning properly
- Assists physicians and interventional radiologists during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
- Operates fluoroscopy and other advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Positions patients accurately to optimize imaging results while ensuring comfort and safety
- Maintains sterile technique and assists with the setup and breakdown of sterile fields
- Monitors patients during procedures, including vital signs and overall condition, and reports changes promptly
- Administers contrast media and medications as directed, in accordance with hospital policy and scope of practice
- Ensures compliance with radiation safety standards, including proper shielding and dose minimization techniques
- Documents procedures, patient information, and imaging results accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
- Prepares and transports patients to and from procedures, providing education and reassurance as needed
- Maintains and troubleshoots imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions or service needs
- Participates in on-call rotations and responds to emergency procedures as required
- Adheres to all regulatory, accreditation, and infection prevention standards
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains required certifications and continuing education

Qualifications:
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Advanced certification preferred: ARRT (VI) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, or Cath Lab required
- Experience assisting with image-guided procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, and biopsies
- Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy and advanced imaging equipment
- Experience with moderate sedation procedures preferred
