What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Forklift Operator position at Cedar Grove Warehouse?
Position Description: The warehouse forklift driver will organize and store product to meet customer specifications in compliance with company policy, GMPs and Safety.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Load and unload trucks and railcars per bill of ladings
- Receive, count, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments
- Verification of required receiving/shipped paperwork
- Organize and store product
- Operate all warehouse equipment in safe manner
- Communicate safety issues to manager/supervisor
- Stage customer orders in organized manner on shipping dock
- Maintain organized, safe, and clean working environment
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in the SQF Program
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with team members
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Dependable attendance
- Hard worker
- Team player
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes and related equipment
- Fork lift experience.
Working Conditions:
- Repetitive work in a fast-paced environment with average temperature of Zero degree freezers -60 degrees F (depending on worksite location)
- Some manual labor with heavy lifting required (approximately 40 pounds)
