Cedar Grove Composting is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. Responsibilities for this position includes, troubleshooting and maintaining a diverse range of equipment – trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. The work schedule for this position is swing shift, Monday thru Friday, 1:00PM to 9:30PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repair on trucks/trailers, collection vehicles and off-road machinery
Diagnose equipment problems and perform corrective repairs
Complete accurate work orders showing labor and materials used to perform each job
Remain current with industry standards
Maintain cleanliness of shop and work area
Personal safety and shop safety
Assist in other duties as assigned by the manager
Required Skills
Diverse mechanical aptitude including diesel, gas truck, and equipment repair
Computer skills and welding skills are a plus!
Education/Certification
Must have a valid driver’s license
Experience/Other
At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience is preferred
Experience with millwright, truck, or heavy mechanic is ideal
Must possess the required tools to perform the applicable job assignment
