What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Representative position at Cedar Financial?
About us:
We help businesses build high-performing teams by providing access to top-tier remote talent and managed operational solutions. Through a streamlined recruitment process, industry expertise, and a commitment to quality, we connect organizations with professionals who are ready to contribute from day one. Whether supporting a single role or an entire business function, Remote Scouts delivers scalable, cost-effective solutions designed to drive productivity, efficiency, and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients for staffing, staff augmentation, or BPO services, with particular focus on specialized/niche verticals — including healthcare, IT, skilled trades, ARM (Accounts Receivable Management/collections), finance & accounting, and other high-growth or high-compliance segments — where demand is outpacing the broader market.
- Use AI-enabled prospecting tools (intent signal platforms, LinkedIn/job-board scanning tools, account research automation) to identify active hiring signals and build a qualified pipeline — firms using AI meaningfully in BD are significantly more likely to grow revenue.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, proposal development, negotiation, contract closure (MSAs, SOWs, rate cards), and client onboarding.
- Position solutions around quality, compliance, and skills-based matching rather than speed alone, reflecting what buyers are now prioritizing.
- For BPO/staff augmentation deals, be conversant in dedicated-team delivery models and nearshore (Latin America) options, both of which are gaining share over traditional offshore/shared-agent models for US clients.
- Coordinate with recruitment/delivery teams to ensure onboarding meets SLA and compliance expectations.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts through upselling/cross-selling, particularly into adjacent service lines (RPO, dedicated offshore/nearshore teams, project-based delivery).
- Track pipeline and forecasts in CRM; report on conversion rates given the tighter, more competitive acquisition environment.
- Stay current on niche specialization and M&A trends shaping buyer expectations and competitive positioning.
Education, Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- 5–10 years of B2B sales/business development experience in staffing, staff augmentation, or BPO/RPO, with a track record of new client acquisition and onboarding (not just account management).
- Demonstrated ability to hit targets in a slower-growth, higher-selectivity market — consultative rather than purely volume-driven selling.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted sales/prospecting tools; comfort adapting workflow as agentic AI tools become standard in BD.
- Understanding of skills-based hiring and how to sell it as a differentiator to clients who increasingly prioritize verified competency over resume volume.
- Familiarity with nearshore/offshore/dedicated delivery models, especially Latin America nearshoring for US-facing BPO work.
- Strong negotiation skills across MSAs, SOWs, and rate structures.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus).
- Willingness to travel for client meetings.
