We are looking for talented individuals who have experience managing both onsite construction of commercial building plus working with owners and owners’ consultants
A Construction Superintendent will play a crucial role in managing onsite construction personnel and subcontractors. In conjunction with the project manager, they must meet specific goals and deadlines throughout a project while maintaining quality standards, productivity, and safety.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience in the construction field, with 2 years in commercial construction (preferred).
- Proficient in understanding and leading teams
- Effectively communicate verbally with all team members and subcontractors
- Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Project
- Must be Self-motivated, organized, and have close attention to detail
- Must know and manage projects thoroughly with scope and schedule
- Must be proficient in reading and understanding plans, blueprints, and construction documents.
- Must be a highly skilled carpenter
- Must be flexible to accommodate the daily project needs, which frequently require more than 40 hours per week. Occasionally, after-hours work will also be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Represent Cedar Falls Building Systems in a professional manner at all times.
- Ensure the safety of all people on any worksite or company property by following all company safety practices
- Ensure all necessary materials and equipment are available on-site.
- Managing projects day to day throughout all stages of construction, from planning to completion, while ensuring codes and safety compliance.
- Coordination of workers, managing subcontractors, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Quality Control – Ensure that the work performed with CFBSI employees and subcontractors is done in accordance with the contract and scope.
- Coordinating and conducting on-site inspections throughout the project.
- Train, lead, and motivate employees.
- Must be able to plan and advocate for resources and manpower per project scope.
- Phase and sequence work and equipment to maximize efficiency.
- Develop schedules in conjunction with the project manager, showing work sequences and update them accordingly.
- Plan the work in conjunction with the foreman and project managers to ensure the weekly scope is met.
- Identify changes and additional work and report them to the project manager.
- Resolve problems within your scope.
- Must follow Company Policies and Procedures, utilizing proper documentation from start to finish on projects.
Pay: $93,902.37 - $100,574.05 per year
