Duties
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that promotes toddler development and curiosity
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education, including play-based learning and sensory experiences
- Monitor children’s behavior, providing positive guidance and effective behavior management strategies
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, or special education professionals to support individual needs and developmental goals
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, activities, and any incidents or health concerns
- Ensure classroom organization and cleanliness to uphold high standards of childcare and safety
Qualifications
- Prior experience in preschool settings, daycare centers, or working directly with children in caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Familiarity with infant care routines and toddler-specific needs
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and compassionately
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth through nurturing caregiving practices
