Cedar Crest Academy is looking for a passionate and experienced Preschool and Pre-K teacher to join our team in our NorthUp Campus in Bellevue.
Responsibilities
The Pre-Primary teacher will provide an optimum learning environment for all students while collaborating with other staff. The teacher will employ a systematic instructional process designed to meet the needs of students in the classroom.
· The Pre-Primary Teacher’s core duty is to plan, teach, and prepare daily lesson plans and materials
· Follow curriculum guidelines for essential learning and instructional strategies in the following subjects: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Writing, Character Education
· Keep the classroom safe, clean, and neat, with all displays updated regularly.
·Teachers will also help prepare for campus-wide or classroom celebrations and special events which they will later participate in.
·Provide supervision during Before & After Care, recess, nap time, snack time, and additional school schedule needs.
· Providing student supervision during lunch and snack time
· Review and continue to be updated on all student allergies and health information
·Understand and appreciate every child in the classroom while taking strides to listen, comfort, encourage, celebrate, laugh (yes, be silly and sing songs, too!), individualize, challenge, engage, captivate, and inspire their students.
·Work cooperatively with their Co-Teacher, Staff, and Administration of the School to deliver an exceptional educational program
·Model lifelong learning, positive self-esteem, and respect for others. Set and maintain high personal, professional, and instructional standards for self and students
Qualifications/ Requirements
·Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field from a 4-year college or university preferred
·2 years of consistent experience working with children at the particular grade level
·High School Diploma or GED required
·Current certification in CPR and First Aid required
·Completion of Blood Borne Pathogen Training required
·Negative TB test required within 2 years before the first day of each school year
·Washington State Background Check required through the DEL
Job Type & Schedule:

·8 hour shift - 40 hours / week – Monday - Friday
