What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAFETY AND SECURITY DIRECT CARE position at Cedar Creek?
We are seeking Safety and Security, direct care employees to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will play a crucial role in maintaining an orderly, and safe environment at Cedar Creek, for youth ages 7-18.
Cedar Creek employees act as positive role models, maintain safety within Cedar Creek and assist in the clinical care of our residents, while providing support and structure.
Responsibilities
Monitor premises to ensure the safety of staff and residents
Direct supervision of youth
Conduct regular checks of rooms and secure all areas; ensuring door and window alarms are working and all areas are contraband free
Support youth in a variety of on-site and off-site entertainment, activities, and sporting events
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Report any facility issues such as fire hazards
Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
Supervise and implement safety protocols during on site and off site outings
Complete documentation and critical incident reports
Attend staff meetings
Qualifications
Experience working with children or youth (this includes volunteer hours)
Enjoys working with youth
Familiarity with security equipment
Ability to handle physical requirements
Enjoys recreational activities (snowmobiling, hiking, ATV's, other outdoor activities)
Strong attention to detail
Alert and aware of surroundings
Salary : $23 - $26
