We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician to join our team. Certified Veterinary Technicians are preferred but certification is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animal care.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely restrain and handle dogs, cats, and other small animals.
- Prepare exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and record medical information.
- Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Clean and disinfect kennels, exam rooms, and treatment areas.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
Qualifications
- Veterinary Assistant experience or Veterinary Technician experience preferred.
- Certified Veterinary Technician preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, organized, and compassionate.
