JOB OPPORTUNITY
Cedar Corporation is a growing company, that offers a professional, yet flexible work environment. We are seeking a full-time, highly motivated, self-starter to join our team as an Environmental Wetland Scientist in our Green Bay, WI office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wetland delineation and assessment.
- Create mapping of wetland resources.
- Summarize findings in a comprehensive report.
- Record with WDNR under the Assured Delineator Program or wetland confirmation service.
- Developing concepts, monitoring and reporting on wetland mitigation and restoration projects.
- Prepare wetland mitigation bank design and assessment
- Assist with ecological restoration planning and site monitoring
- Conduct wildlife habitat and botanical surveys
- Coordinate construction and restoration activities with property owners and contractors.
- Build relationships with government agencies to create a streamlined authorization process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of environmental/wetland field experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, geography, soil science, or biology.
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office; GIS and/AutoCAD knowledge.
- Strong communication, technical writing, time management, and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently with direction from project team members.
- Ability and willingness to travel for short-term and long-term field assignments, as needed.
- Professional Wetland Assurance Certification is pre
- Valid driver’s license; ability to walk up to five miles and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and permitting programs at the federal, state, and local levels.
