Cedar Bus Company LLC The Monitor is responsible for supporting the transportation of clients in a safe and efficient manner consistent with the organizational mission and vision and in compliance with company policy and applicable laws. Specific responsibilities include assisting driver with directions as needed, taking attendance of clients, interacting with clients, program personnel, and client support staff in the field, communicating with dispatch in a clear and concise manner, de-escalating any conflicts between clients and reporting it, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in the field. This position generally follows a typical Monday through Friday work week and is considered a split shift position, with AM runs in the morning and PM runs in the afternoon. However, there are some situations that would dictate otherwise as required by customer demand such as charters, med runs, or shuttle runs. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure transportation and workplace safety policies are in compliance with company, state and federal regulations. Safely transport clients to and from programs in the mornings and afternoons. Ensure that the bus is always kept clean. Ensure safety of all clients. This includes securing wheelchair bound clients as well as operating the wheelchair lift and checking working condition of seatbelts. Keep your routes updated and dispatch abreast of any issues that may arise (e.g. running behind schedule). Report all disciplinary issues to operations staff so appropriate measures can be taken. Assist clients with getting on and off the bus as needed. Be flexible and assist other routes as needed. Work as a member of a team – with drivers, operations staff. Attend periodic regular safety trainings. Buckling of client’s seatbelts and checking periodically that clients remain buckled. Assist driver with directions as needed. Cleaning bus during course of duty shift Filling out run sheet data. Being dependable and on time. All other job duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager and/or his or her designee. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Be at least 18 years of age Ability to pull and push 250 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit for long periods of time and bend to secure wheelchair bound clients Ability to display empathy towards clients Willingness to grow within the company.
