Role Description The Wire Cutting Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN. This role is responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and labeling electrical wire and cable to meet customer order specifications. Daily tasks include reading work orders, operating wire cutting and measuring equipment safely, organizing and staging materials for shipment, and maintaining a clean, orderly work area. The Wire Cutting Specialist collaborates with warehouse and sales team members to ensure orders are completed on time, checks product quality and counts, and assists with inventory control, stocking, and basic material handling as needed. The role also involves following safety procedures, using personal protective equipment, and contributing to efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, measuring tools (such as tape measures and counters), and material handling equipment.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, basic math skills for measurements and calculations, and the ability to read and follow work orders or product labels.
- Candidates should possess experience in warehouse or distribution environments, including order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and inventory support.
- Candidates should possess the ability to follow safety standards, use required protective equipment, and safely lift, move, and handle wire reels and related materials.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior experience in electrical distribution, manufacturing, or a related field is beneficial.
- Basic computer or scanner proficiency for checking orders and updating inventory is beneficial; forklift certification or experience is a plus.
