Industrial Emissions Control Field Service Engineer

Join CECO Environmental, a global leader in sustainable industrial air, water, and energy-transition solutions since 1966. Our work protects people, the environment, and critical equipment across sectors such as renewable energy, semiconductor manufacturing, power generation, and water treatment. Recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Companies (2025) and by Forbes as one of America’s Most Successful Small‑Cap Companies (2026), CECO (NASDAQ: CECO) continues to scale with purpose, innovation, and integrity.

A day in this role

Morning: You review the service plan and safety requirements for the day, sync with engineering, and head to a customer site. There, you oversee installation and commissioning activities for industrial systems addressing hazardous gas and odors, VOC abatement, particulate filtration, and ventilation—spanning product lines such as Adwest, Busch, CECO Filters, Flex-Kleen, Fisher Klosterman, and HEE-Duall.

Midday: You calibrate and verify process instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature), adjust valve actuators, and validate continuous emissions monitoring equipment. You track budgets and timelines, keeping customers informed and aligned.

Afternoon: You troubleshoot rotating equipment—dampers, actuators, controls, seal air fans—and complete concise service reports. You maintain tight coordination with internal teams, protect confidential business information, and ensure documentation flows to customers and fabricators.

Some weekends: You support critical startups or maintenance windows to keep customers online.

What you’ll do
  • Execute standardized field service procedures for installation, start-up/commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget while building trust through clear, timely communication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally; assist Engineering in issuing project documents to customers and fabricators.
  • Safeguard company confidential information, including operational practices, marketing, engineering, pricing, sales strategies, customer/prospect lists, and financial performance data.
  • Champion safety in accordance with Company/OSHA policies; support a vision of zero accidents and maintain orderly work areas.
  • Produce accurate daily/weekly/monthly reports tailored to the intended audience.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations; perform other related duties as assigned.
What makes you a great fit
  • Education or experience in Engineering and/or Electronics, or equivalent training/experience.
  • 5 years as a Field Services Specialist/Technician.
  • Hands-on familiarity with FRP and welding is a plus.
  • Valid in‑state driver’s license with an acceptable record for company business travel.
  • Ability to interpret technical specs, materials documentation, and CAD drawings.
  • Proficiency with process instrumentation (pressure/flow/temperature transmitters), valve actuators, and related testing/calibration.
  • Experience with field service management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring equipment.
  • Understanding of safe handling, storage, and operation of equipment involving hazardous chemicals.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment, including dampers, actuators, controls, and seal air fans.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% across the U.S.; some weekend work required. Role is remote within the United States.
