Confined-Space MIG Welder -- Sheet Metal Systems

• MIG weld 20 ga to 3/8" plate in stainless and carbon steel; execute confined-space welding.
• Set up/operate a hydraulic press brake and plate rolls (20 ga to 1/4" plate).
• Use a sheet metal shear and calculate optimal cut patterns to minimize scrap.
• Form parts over anvils, blocks, and dedicated forms; join via soldering and welding.
• Inspect, assemble, and finish seams/joints; remove burrs for clean, accurate results.
• Operate spot welders and additional machines to support forming operations.
• Learn/apply the forming of pressed elbows, gorelocked elbows, collars, sleeves, tee branches, and reducers.
• Interpret assembly prints and procedures to deliver precise work.
• Contribute to other assigned duties that keep production on track.

• High school diploma or GED; trade/technical school is a plus.
• 5 years of hands-on sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with solid basic math and print-reading skills.
• Punctual, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• A collaborative teammate who works well with diverse groups.

Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects.

Very Heavy Work: Exerting more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel. The facility is not air conditioned.
