Job Title: Banking Center Manager – Loan Officer

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the general supervision of the banking center location to maximize the profitability and growth potential. Ensure that a high level of service, quality and operational standards are practiced throughout The Cecilian Bank. Successfully manage banking center personnel in a manner that enhances professional growth of staff members, along with growth of the banking center. Oversee the physical condition of facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, supervise, direct, and control the overall operations of the banking center.
- Ensure that all banking center employees are well informed of Bank’s objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Provide in-depth training and developmental programs for bank tellers in both an “on-the-job-training” and “semi-classroom environment.”
- Work directly with Human Resources and Training Departments in program refinement and evaluation of trainees, providing progress testing to obtain measurable results.
- Ensure uniformity of operational procedures, to recommend additional training and/or assist in a cross-training program to increase banking center efficiency.
- Supervise the head teller and general teller operations and other functions performed by banking center office personnel.
- Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Timely administration of annual and periodic performance evaluations for all staff members, including assisting the Head Teller completion of Teller performance evaluations.
- Coach staff members to their best performance, including addressing non-performing employees and praising performing employees.
- Authorize check cashing and issuance of cashier’s checks that exceed the head teller established limits.
- Authorize all overdraft procedures at banking center.
- Authorize cashing non-routine checks or split-deposit transactions within the guidelines established under the Bank’s check cashing policy.
- Provide assistance and answer inquiries from customers, general public, and businesses, relating to Bank operations within established guidelines. Handle customer’s problems and complaints, and communicate resolutions with customers.
- Ensure that proper security controls are maintained for protection from fraudulent operations and theft.
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate and personnel are utilized to the maximum potential.
- Direct and assist banking center in reaching performance goals developed by Senior Management.
- Direct banking center in execution of Bank Marketing program through training and operational procedures on bank programs.
- Consult with manager when unusual or problem areas are identified that require further direction and/or assistance
- Serve as a loan officer for the banking center, in the manner outlined in the Loan Officer Job Description
- Manage and grow an existing loan portfolio, ensuring quality and profitability.
- Demonstrate strong lending expertise with a proven track record of sound credit decisions and portfolio growth.
- Prospect and acquire new clients through networking, community involvement, outreach, and relationship building.
- Develop and maintain a strong referral network.
- In order to keep the vault audit a true surprise, the date of the audit is to be determined by the Banking Center Manager. For the Head Tellers that are also the Banking Center Manager, the CSR will then determine audit dates.
- Comply with and assist others in complying with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.
- Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations as it pertains to the functions of this position, and ensure banking center staff are also complying with BSA regulations, and bank policies and procedures
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review the transaction activity, cash maintained, loss reports, daily balancing, and proof operations of the banking center to ensure efficient operations.
- Direct and assist banking center personnel to ensure that the banking center office’s physical facilities are well maintained and remain in operating condition consistent with Bank policy.
- Spot-check the physical facility on an unannounced basis to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security, report variances to supervisor. Follow through to ensure that problems are resolved on a timely basis.
- Responsible for maintaining individual P.E.P. monthly and encouraging staff members to work toward achieving P.E.P. goals throughout the year
- Assist the bank in efforts to obtain and retain customers
- Conduct duties and responsibilities in a manner that supports the bank’s profitability goals, by minimizing losses and guarding the bank against fraud, by improving job processes and achieving operational excellence
- Adequate cross training of all job duties have been considered.

In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- A college degree in business or relevant experience strongly preferred
