Control Panel Builder

CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Control Panel Builder at our UL 508A air-conditioned Panel Shop in Palmetto, FL. Pay will be based on relevant experience and/or education.

Pay Frequency:

• Weekly

NOTE: This position requires drug and background screening.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

$18 - $24 hourly

• Wire and build industrial control panels based on schematics and/or blueprints.
• Maintain facility safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Occasionally may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting.

• 1 year of experience in control panel building (preferred)
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must be able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn.
• Motivated
• Must be able to read electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background
• Troubleshooting experience is a plus, but not required.
• PLC programming experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about within the shop to gather materials.
• Constantly place and position small and large materials when assembling panels
• The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Frequently moves material weighing up to 50 pounds across the shop for various needs
