Position Summary
The Business Development Analyst reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and supports the sales and business development team in pursuing and winning new work. This role focuses on turning data and ideas into clear analyses and high-quality presentations that support the company’s sales strategy and execution.
The analyst gathers information from estimating, preconstruction, marketing, and operations; builds market and financial analyses to support go and no-go decisions; and turns technical, financial, and commercial information into executive-ready proposals and presentations. The role also includes organizing and interpreting market intelligence, maintaining accurate opportunity data in CRM tools, and tracking pursuits, deadlines, and follow-ups. This position works closely with senior leadership and contributes directly to how the company prioritizes markets, targets clients, and executes its growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Build proposal content by coordinating technical specifications, pricing, project history, and client research across BD, estimating, and marketing teams.
- Compile project data and market information to support pursuit decisions.
- Review project performance data and market trends to inform business decisions.
- Create executive-level presentations for client pitches, board meetings, and leadership reviews.
- Track pipeline metrics, win/loss trends, and conversion rates to identify patterns and improve win rates.
- Manage and update Salesforce.
- Manage RFP responses and prequalification packages from intake through submission.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform pursuit strategy.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to move opportunities through the pipeline efficiently.
- Support the CRO with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required.
- Previous experience in business development, operations, or similarly related analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to create polished, executive-ready materials.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
