About the Role:
We’re seeking a Senior / Lead Electrical Controls Estimator to own complex estimating efforts for automotive programs—final assembly, paint, body-in-white, powertrain, and warehousing/logistics—where material handling and conveyor automation are central.
What You'll Do:
Supervise a team of 3-7 Estimators in the following:
- Lead detailed estimates for automotive conveyor automation systems and other industrial automation scopes
- Prepare and approve the Basis of Estimate (BOE).
- Contribute to and ensure overall proposal process is adhered too.
- Work with Management, Business Development, and Engineering on competitive strategy, manpower requirements, and execution methodology.
- Continuously monitor for ways to improve the estimation process while ensuring consistency and accuracy in quotes.
- Manage relationships with key customer's estimating teams
- Act as the focal point with engineering, procurement, and OEM/client teams.
- Evaluate vendor quotes and present estimates.
- Maintain historical cost databases.
What You Bring:
- 10 years' experience with 8 in estimating.
- Expertise with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms.
- Familiarity with automotive material handling technologies.
- Strong cost management and leadership experience.
