The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Sales Manager, Employee Benefits to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Canton, MA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position. Responsibilities: Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company goals and growth targets. Lead and mentor a team of Producers and Business Development professionals to achieve and exceed sales goals. Identify and prioritize target markets, prospecting strategies, and competitive positioning. Monitor pipeline activity and sales performance metrics to drive accountability and optimize results. Represent the firm in the marketplace by cultivating strong referral relationships with centers of influence (e.g., non-EB brokers, consultants, TPAs, carriers, CPAs, attorneys). Train and develop top-performing Producers with a focus on retention and cultural fit. Foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture grounded in integrity, client service, and accountability. Collaborate closely with the Sales Director and Sales Operations Specialist to drive targeted sales-focused initiatives. Maintain deep understanding of regional market trends, carrier landscape, and competitive forces. Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and community forums throughout New England. Partner with marketing and client service teams to deliver compelling presentations and proposals. Partner with direct reports (e.g., Producers) to close new business opportunities. Individually prospect and close key new business opportunities. Qualifications: 7 years of experience in Employee Benefits sales, consulting, or brokerage, with 3 years in a leadership or sales management role. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex, consultative sales. Strong understanding of employee benefits products, funding strategies, compliance regulations, and vendor landscape. Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Deep network within the New England employer, consultant, or referral community. Willingness to travel across the region to support producers, prospects, and partners. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or industry designations (CEBS, RHU, etc.) a plus. Travel and overtime may be required to fulfill the requirements of this position.
