Job Summary:

The Carpentry Associate at Curated Events is responsible for assisting in the creation, assembly, and installation of specialty carpentry products for luxury events. This role requires a detail-oriented and skilled individual with a passion for craftsmanship, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to meeting high-quality standards. The Carpentry Associate works under the guidance of the Carpentry Manager to execute custom builds efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Assembly:

• Assist in constructing custom carpentry products, including staging, event décor, and specialty furniture.
• Follow blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate production.
• Perform finishing work such as sanding, staining, and painting to enhance final product quality.

Shop & Tool Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized workshop to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Properly handle and maintain carpentry tools, machinery, and materials.
• Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.

Event Support & Installation:

• Assist with on-site setup and installation of custom carpentry pieces for events.
• Work collaboratively with the event operations team to ensure seamless integration of products into venue spaces.
• Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to carpentry elements as needed on-site.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all workplace safety protocols, including proper use of protective gear and adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Maintain awareness of potential hazards and report any safety concerns to management.
• Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

Performance Standards:

• Ensure all carpentry projects meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
• Complete assigned tasks within the established timelines and deadlines.
• Maintain a proactive and team-oriented approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
• Follow safety procedures and minimize workplace incidents.
• Uphold professionalism and commitment to excellence in all work performed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in carpentry, woodworking, or related fields.
• Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with woodworking tools, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
  • Knowledge of sanding, finishing, and painting techniques.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a workshop environment with exposure to sawdust, noise, and power tools.
  • Ability to work on-site at event venues as needed.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred.

Work Environment:

This position involves working in a carpentry workshop as well as on-site event locations. It requires physical labor, use of power tools, and collaboration with a team to execute custom builds for luxury events.
