IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Kindergarten positions listed below are 10-month opportunities that follows the school calendar year, from September through June. Employees also have the opportunity to extend their employment by opting in to work in our Summer Camp program during July and August, based on program enrollment and staffing needs. This flexible schedule offers the opportunity for continued employment throughout the summer while supporting engaging programs for children year-round.
OPEN KINDERGARTEN POSITIONS:
ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT – $16/hour
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 16 years old (with valid NYS working papers for minors)

1 year experience working with children
-
GROUP LEADER – $16.43/hour
Minimum Qualifications:

HS Diploma/GED
-
2 years experience working with children under 13

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (ALL SACC POSITIONS):
-
Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
-
Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare

Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community

Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 30 days of hire)
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm
