About the Job

CDS Logistics & Home Services is seeking a dynamic professional to manage a growing network of delivery service providers for a leading final mile logistics company. The Territory Network Manager position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily final mile logistics operations for an assigned service provider territory, reporting directly to a Regional Network Manager. Our primary goal is to ensure excellent operational standards are met and to maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the territory. In this role you will work in the field at Network Operations Locations as well as from home, supporting the daily operations of our business through coordination of a variety of internal and external client requests. You can anticipate this role to focus on driving Network Agent performance to meet operational standards through hands on support and strong communication surrounding training, auditing, and performance metrics for each location.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Management oversight of assigned territory for all affiliated service providers
  • Develop and foster relationships with key customer contacts to enhance service and communication.
  • Assist CDS Customer Support team with the communication (internal and external) and resolution of any service issue claims within the territory.
  • Working with CDS Field Training Team, conduct training in all aspects of CDS customer programs and ensure adherence to defined customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Travel frequently to support territory network management activities, ensuring a presence in the locations as dictated by the state of the business.
  • Conduct frequent developmental audits and training for all locations to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide formal reports, as required, to company management on the state of the Territory business.
  • Communicate and review agent performance to all locations based on metrics and feedback.
  • Recruit and onboard new CDS agents as replacements or business expansion
  • Engage in and support business development activities within assigned territory.
  • This role will grow to include customer program management responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Superior organizational skills
  • Excellent communication – both oral and written - and interpersonal skills\
  • Strong Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet search
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to get things done.
  • Ability to manage your schedule to ensure proper agent support across the Territory without direct supervision.
  • Ability to identify and develop creative processes or solutions. \
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the logistics industry; preferable experience includes 3PL or last mile logistics.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience managing customer accounts or tracking and communicating performance surrounding customer accounts\
  • Ability to travel 50 - 60% and work from home office when not traveling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS Excel Skills: Strong Proficiency in Data Analytics tools within Excel
  • 3PL Management Experience: operations, warehousing, dispatch, etc.
  • Data Analytic Skills

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This role will have supervisory responsibility.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, for 8 hours per day, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading, typing and use of wrists, hands, and fingers. This position also operates on the road and employees must be capable of operating a vehicle and or traveling by air.

Travel

Frequent travel is expected for this position at an average of 50% on the road travel within assigned territory.

Work Environment

This job operates in a home office environment and in the field on the road and at warehouse facilities throughout the Unites States. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, telephones, and occasionally uses warehouse equipment where trained and certified. This position will operate within warehouse production floors, loading docks and at delivery site locations.
