What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Driver - Auto Parts position at CDS LLC?
MUST HAVE YOUR OWN DELIVERY VEHICLE TO USE ON ROUTE. Prefer a midsize suv or equivalent with ample space for containers/cargo.
Vehicle must be in good working condition to handle the route mileage.
Job Description: On-call dedicated route driver needed for a large auto parts distributor in Idaho Falls.
Route starts and ends in Idaho Falls. Owner Operators that live near Idaho Falls would be ideal for this unique on-call route.
Total route miles is 400 . Route runs through Pocatello, Soda Springs, and Tremonton.
Route hours: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM 1 hour break, then 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Training is required prior to start date.
MUST Have the following:
*Available to train on route prior to start
*Able to cover with quick turn around time
*Be at least 21 years of age and have 5 years of driving experience
*Valid drivers license and a clean driving record - no DUI
*State minimum insurance coverage
*Provide a copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
*Clean appearance and customer service oriented
*Sense of urgency and attention to detail
*Gets along well with others - good attitude
*Smart phone and GPS mapping capabilities required
*Knowledge of the area is a plus
*Can load/unload parts up to 50 lbs
*Ability to read invoices and match to parts. Understands departure times and staying on route. Gets the right parts to the right place at the right time!
Job Type: Contract
**Fuel surcharge** we understand fuel costs are rising daily. A fuel surcharge will be shared with all the drivers.
Pay is weekly.
Pay: From $280.00 per day
