- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Class A Electrician:
- Perform all phases of general and maritime electrical work with minimal supervision.
- Install, repair, and maintain lighting systems, power lines, electrical equipment, motors, public-address systems, and cranes.
- Work from blueprints and sketches, applying knowledge of electrical energy and machinery.
- May supervise and direct lower-class electricians as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety devices, lockout procedures, and safety practices.
Class B Electrician:
- Install and repair basic electrical equipment, fixtures, and lighting.
- Perform testing, cleaning, and minor repairs, including replacing fuses and maintaining welding machines and electrical lines.
- Work under guidance when handling more complex electrical tasks.
Class C Electrician:
- Assist with basic electrical tasks while continuing to develop skills and experience.
- Support Class A and Class B electricians in installation and repair work.
- Work under close supervision to ensure tasks are completed correctly and safely.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician in industrial or maritime environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Experience installing power and lighting systems, electrical equipment, and motors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and work in confined spaces as required.
