Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Blaster to join our team. As a Blaster, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting or coating by using various blasting techniques. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
-Operate blasting equipment to remove paint, rust, and other debris from surfaces
- Prepare surfaces for painting or coating by ensuring they are clean and free of contaminants
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to protect yourself and others while operating the equipment - Maintain and repair blasting equipment as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and completion of projects
- Adhere to project specifications and timelines
- Keep accurate records of work performed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Blaster or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficient in using various blasting techniques and equipment
- Strong knowledge of stucco, renovation, remodeling, basic math, drywall installation/repair, maintenance person work, schematics reading/interpretation, welding, maintenance, and carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required
