Pay and Benefits
- Average yearly earnings: 87027
- Pay rate: 0.73 – 0.75 CPM
- 5000 sign on bonus (paid after first dispatch; restrictions apply)
- Detention: 20 per hour
- Live load or unload: 30 – 60 per stop
- Canadian load: 200
- Holiday pay: 310 per day
- Safety training: 20 per hour
- New hire training: 225 per day
- PTO begins immediately (1.5 hours per week; increases at 6 and 19 years)
- Medical, dental, vision after 30 days
- 401k with company match
- Six paid holidays
Home Time and Schedule
- Home every other day
- Typical home days: Tuesday and Thursday
- Schedule: Sunday night through Friday night
- Start times: 2000 – 0300
- Shift length: 11 – 12 hours
- Back by Saturday morning at the latest
Position Details
- Pick up preloaded trailers from the Interstate Battery DC
- Deliver to distribution centers and return with battery cores
- Freight is a mix of touch and no touch
- About 50 percent driver assist using an electric pallet jack
- No touch stops are live unloaded by the customer
- Ensure load securement and complete all delivery and return paperwork
- Drivers must scale loads
- Safety and on time service are top priorities
- May assist other DCS or Intermodal accounts if volume is low
Equipment and Work Environment
- Assigned sleeper conventional tractors
- Trucks remain on site during time off
- Manager on site
- Uniform shirts provided
- Steel toe boots required (provided or reimbursed)
