Semi Local Truck Driver – Lansing, MI 10000 Sign On Bonus | 3 Months Experience Required
Position Overview Semi local CDL A position hauling Meijer freight throughout IL, IN, WI, OH and MI. Drivers run a mix of local and regional routes with strong annual earnings, consistent miles, and frequent home time. Majority drop and hook with no touch freight.
Pay and Benefits

• Average yearly earnings: 84000 – 90000
• Regional pay (75% of loads): 0.63 CPM, increases to 0.645 CPM at 1 year, 0.66 CPM at 3 years
• Local pay (25% of loads): 0.725 CPM, increases to 0.735 CPM at 1 year, 0.745 CPM at 3 years
• Regional stop pay: 20 per stop
• Local stop pay: 30 per stop
• Backhaul stop pay: 30 per pickup
• Breakdown: 25 per hour after 2 hours, up to 300 per day
• Hourly and safety pay: 20 per hour
• Weekly reliability pay: 100 per week (conditions apply)
• Training: 3 days, paid mileage and stop pay
• 10000 sign on bonus (restrictions apply)

Home Time and Schedule

• Frequent home time
• Schedule: Sunday – Thursday
• Start time: 0600 (6:00 AM)
• Out 2–3 nights per week
• Additional route options available after time on account
• Expected to work holidays that fall on scheduled workdays

Position Details

• Deliver to 40 Meijer stores across IL (no downtown Chicago), IN, MI (including UP), OH and WI
• Shuttle runs between Lansing and Pleasant Prairie
• 85–90% of runs go to Chicago suburbs (no city driving)
• 85% drop and hook
• Outbound store shipments are drop and hook
• No touch freight
• Slip seat only during mandatory service
• Trucks remain at the account during home time
• Hazmat required within 90 days (reimbursed)
• Lunch provided during orientation

Equipment

• Assigned single bunk sleeper tractors
• 45 ft, 48 ft, and 53 ft box trailers

Job Requirements:
Valid CDL A license in Michigan and at least 3 months of verifiable CDL A T/T experience.
Wage Range: 84000.00 - 90000.00 per year
