Job Description:
Local Truck Driver – Chester, NY Area (Start/End in East Brunswick, NJ)
Earn $85,000–$100,000/year with a $5,000 sign on bonus and daily home time. This role delivers fresh and frozen groceries within a 250 mile radius of Chester, NY, including Hudson Valley, Long Island, CT, and limited NYC (only after training; 20–25% of freight).
Position Highlights:
Start 10 AM–2 PM, schedules: Thurs–Mon or Fri–Tues
5 day workweek; optional 6th day (mandatory around major holidays)
Multi stop reefer loads (avg 15–16 stops/week)
2 short loads/day or 1 long load
Backhauls on return; mostly no?touch freight
Day cabs (auto & manual), slip seat, no take home
Assigned tractors when possible; shared with opposite shift
Uniforms provided and maintained
Pay & Extras:
$0.68–$0.74 CPM
Weekly pay guarantee: $1,634 (must work 5 days/10 hrs)
Stop pay: $28.50–$30
NYC stop: $62.50/load
Detention: $15/hr
Truck move: $50
New hire training: $200/day
Safety training: $20/hr
Holiday pay: $280/day
PTO from day one; full benefits after 30 days
6 paid holidays; no loads on Thanksgiving or Christmas
Job Requirements:
Valid CDL A license
3 months of verifiable CDL A experience
Reliable personal transportation
Willingness to train for NYC routes (after 6 months)
Wage Range: 85000.00 - 100000.00 per year
