Local CDL A Driver – Indianapolis IN – Home Daily
This local flatbed position delivers metal products throughout IL, IN, and KY with steady year?round freight and daily home time. Drivers run preloaded Conestoga and flatbed trailers, unstrapping and verifying product at each stop.
Position Highlights
- Average $75,000 yearly
- $5,000 sign?on bonus
- Home daily
- Monday–Friday schedule (occasional weekend work)
- 4am–6am start, 10–12 hour shifts
- 31 stops per week on average
- Preloaded trailers, live unload (1–2 hours)
- IL, IN, KY delivery area
Driver Responsibilities
- Unstrap and verify material at delivery
- Move aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel in sheet, plate, bar, and tube form
- Use cheater bar to tighten straps (approx. 100 lbs pressure)
- Occasional tarp use possible
- Maintain safety and flatbed certification (provided after hire)
Equipment
- Automatic tandem?axle day cabs
- 48' flatbed and 48' Conestoga trailers
- Uniforms and steel?toe boots provided
- Slip seating may be required
- Equipment stays on site (no take?home trucks)

Job Requirements:
Driver Responsibilities
- Must have a valid CDL A license for Indiana
- Must have at least 3 months of verifiable CDL A experience in the last 6 months - with one carrier
- Sorry, no SAP drivers will be considered
- Unstrap and verify material at delivery
