Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and offer personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
  • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
  • Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising tasks in a grocery store environment
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
  • Support supervising staff during busy periods, helping oversee daily operations and customer flow

Requirements

  • Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred, especially in grocery store settings
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise or assist in supervising team members effectively
  • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math to optimize product presentation and inventory levels
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, stocking shelves, and conducting product demos
