About CDL Consultants

CDL Consultants is a third-party transportation safety and compliance consulting firm that supports multiple trucking companies and drivers nationwide. Our work helps carriers stay compliant, reduce risk, and resolve driver citations efficiently.

We’re currently looking for a highly organized, detail-driven Fine & Citation Compliance Administrator to manage driver citations, court costs, fines, and compliance-related requirements across a portfolio of client carriers.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy staying organized, and are confident communicating with drivers and courts—this is a great opportunity.

Compensation

$19/hour Commission

Commission is earned based on performance and successful case resolution/collections (details discussed during interview).

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and manage driver citations, court costs, fines, and compliance fees for multiple client companies
  • Communicate with drivers, fleet owners, and safety managers to gather citation information, documents, and payment details
  • Contact and coordinate with county courts, clerks, municipal courts, and law enforcement agencies to confirm court requirements, payment amounts, and case status
  • Ensure payments and follow-up actions are completed on time to prevent escalations like failure-to-appear, warrants, license suspension, or late fees
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in internal systems (citation logs, receipts, court updates, client communication records)
  • Monitor open cases weekly and follow through until final resolution
  • Provide consistent updates to clients on outstanding balances, progress, timelines, and compliance exposure
  • Assist with escalations involving FTA situations, court summons, unpaid fine holds, CDL impact concerns, and compliance complications
  • Support reporting and trend analysis (repeat offenders, citation patterns, high-risk violations, etc.)

Qualifications

Required

  • 1 years in an administrative role involving case tracking, billing, collections, compliance, customer service, or logistics support
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases at once
  • Confident communication skills (drivers, client managers, and court staff)
  • Strong follow-up habits and deadline management
  • Basic computer proficiency (spreadsheets, case tracking, email communication)
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally

Preferred

  • Experience in trucking safety, DOT compliance, fleet operations, dispatch, or insurance/risk
  • Familiarity with court systems, citation portals, and payment processing
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Skills & Traits We’re Looking For

  • Organized, consistent, and deadline-driven
  • Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills
  • Professional and calm when working with drivers under stress
  • Persistent follow-up—comfortable making calls and keeping cases moving
  • Motivated by performance and commission-based success

What We Offer

  • Hourly pay commission opportunity
  • Stable schedule in a professional office environment
  • Growth opportunities within compliance and safety consulting
  • PTO, paid holidays, and benefits (if applicable)
  • Supportive team culture with training and structured processes
