We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Automotive Lot Porter to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in keeping the dealership lot organized, clean, and customer-ready while making sure vehicles are moved safely and efficiently throughout the day.
This is an active position that requires someone who is comfortable working outdoors, moving vehicles, assisting multiple departments, and staying productive throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Move and park new and used vehicles throughout the dealership lot
- Pull vehicles up for customers, sales staff, management, and service
- Maintain an organized and customer-friendly vehicle inventory
- Transport vehicles between the dealership, service department, detail department, body shop, auction, and other locations as needed
- Fuel vehicles and make sure inventory is ready for customers
- Assist with vehicle deliveries and pickups
- Keep the dealership lot, parking areas, and surrounding areas clean and organized
- Monitor vehicles for obvious damage, warning lights, flat tires, low fuel, or other issues and report them to management
- Assist with vehicle staging and preparation for photos, online listings, test drives, and sales
- Maintain awareness of vehicle locations and help ensure keys and vehicles are properly accounted for
- Assist the sales, service, and used-car departments with vehicle movement and other daily needs
- Help maintain a clean and organized inventory of new and used vehicles
- Perform other duties as assigned by dealership management
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be insurable under the dealership’s insurance policy
- Clean and responsible driving history preferred
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to safely drive a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and remain active throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior dealership or automotive experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to help wherever needed
