Looking to hire a Male DSP (Direct Support Professional) that is available to work 21 hours per month. Hours can be completed during the weekdays after 2:30pm. Weekends are flexible if prearranged. Location: CHESTNUT RIDGE NY 10977. DSP must be male, as per our client's request. Must have experience taking care of clients with anxiety diagnosis.
*Must have 5 years of driving experience and currently in good standing.

What You’ll Do:
As a DSP (CFASS/Respite/PreVoc) service provider, you’ll be providing support to your client on a 1:1 basis.
This includes:
- Respite- Providing hands-on respite support and relief for their caregivers.
- Helping the client be successful at home and in other environments.
- CFASS1- Acting as an advocate and offering techniques and tools to families.
- Prevoc- Preparing client with disabilities for competitive employment by teaching transferable work skills, such as time management, communication, and task completion. Help with resume.
- Engaging the client in fun, meaningful activities that promote their growth and development.
- Following personalized service plans created by our amazing coordination team to help your client reach their full potential.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- For Respite Work: High school diploma required.
- For PreVocational Work: Associates degree.
- For CFASS1 (Caregiver/Family Advocacy Supports Services) Work: High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Effective communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential.
-You must love working with clients with special needs and have experience working in the field.
- A strong sensitivity to various cultural backgrounds and the ability to embrace feedback and be an advocate for the client and the family.
-Driver license and 5 years of driving experience.
- Must have own vehicle to commute to and from work and to use for work related purposes.
- Must have access to a smartphone or tablet with internet capabilities.
