Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Are you looking for a part time position in the Wausau area? Are you patient, attentive, and have experience working with children with special needs? If you answered yes to those questions, we would love to hear from you!
We are looking for a respite care provider for a young boy in Colby, WI. This position would provide up to 8hrs per week, and is weekends only! The child in need of respite is very easy going with a big personality! He is nonverbal and utilizes an AAC device, sign language, and body language to communicate.
Respite care would be provided in your home and out in the community.
Schedule:Weekends from 1pm-4pm (8hrs/week)
Wage: 17.66
About The Child: Nonverbal (utilizes AAC & Sign Language to communicate)
Enjoys:
- Outdoor play (parks, watching airplanes)
- Car rides
- Going through the car wash
- Music
- Taking photos & videos on his tablet
Responsibilities
- Engage with the child with his favorite activities and special interests
- Personal cares (this child utilizes pullups)
- Meal prepping (as needed)
- Supervision
Requirements
- CPR Certification
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, & auto insurance
- Previous experience working with special needs children
