The Assistant Director supports the daily essential operations of Child Development Centers. Additionally, the position contributes to the successful instructional leadership, management, and internal processes of the center’s programs.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and maintain a teacher observation schedule that focuses on optimizing curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
- Regularly observe lead teachers during the instructional day.
- Ensure the center’s compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and accreditations.
- Positively communicate with parents and/or families regarding CDC policies, programs, and student achievement.
- Create a weekly staff work schedule based on forecasted enrollment numbers that will ensure ratio guidelines are met at all times.
- Review, analyze, and take action on program data for CQI and fulfillment of school readiness goals.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when communicating with employees, families, etc.
- Create and maintain a safe and nurturing culture that embodies the mission of the CDC organization.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field, or an Associates Degree in Education or a related field may be eligible with appropriate coursework/experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with children.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day with intermittent periods of sitting, walking, and occasional bending.
- Frequent to occasional lifting of children and/or objects up to 50 pounds.
- Dexterity requirements range from coordinated movements of fingers and hands to simple movements of feet, legs, and torso as necessary to carry out job duties.
