Summary
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the cdcb YouthBuild program by assisting teachers, managing classroom logistics, supporting data entry, and helping locate and engage students. This position assists with program data management, supports grant reporting, coordinates DreamBuild internships, and substitutes for instructors as needed. Additionally, the Program Coordinator may transport students when required to ensure access to program activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who is passionate about empowering young adults through education, workforce development, and leadership training.
Please note: This role is funded through a grant, and its continuation is dependent upon the availability and renewal of external funding.
Duties and Responsibilities
Classroom and Educational Support
- Assist with marketing and fundraising efforts as needed to support organizational goals.
- Assist instructors with classroom operations, including student engagement and instructional support.
- Substitute for teachers as needed, providing lesson support in math, reading, and workforce skills.
- Support students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and develop life skills.
Program Coordination & Student Engagement
- Help locate and re-engage students who have fallen behind in attendance or participation.
- Assist with DreamBuild internships, including student placement, employer coordination, and tracking student progress.
- Support program efforts to ensure student success, including diploma/certificate attainment and post-program placements.
- Promote a culture of achievement, accountability, and positive youth development.
- Coordinate sponsorship/graduation efforts.
Data Entry & Administrative Support
- Assist with general data entry to track participant progress, attendance, and program milestones.
- Maintain program records/files and ensure all necessary documentation is up to date.
- Assist the Director with grant management tasks, including gathering data, compiling reports, and supporting compliance efforts.
Transportation & Safety Support
- Transport students as needed to program-related activities, work sites, or appointments.
- Promote a safe learning environment, ensuring students follow proper procedures and program policies.
- Other duties as assigned
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth, particularly in education, workforce development, or case management.
- Knowledge of high school graduation requirements and certification pathways.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary – $50,000 - $55,000 Yearly (Based on Experience)
- Bonus – Based on production goals met
