CDL A Driver for Sand Hauling

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced CDL A Driver specialized in Sand Hauling to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport sand and related materials across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle logistics cargo will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with flatbed, tanker, or dump truck configurations for hauling sand and other bulk materials.
• Navigate using GPS systems and plan routes efficiently for timely deliveries across OTR routes.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of heavy materials with manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers used for freight or construction materials.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks is a plus.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, hazardous materials regulations, and safe load & unload procedures.
• Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning on OTR routes.
• Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred; strong manual handling skills required.
• Capable of manual loading/unloading cargo safely using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, hazard awareness, and adherence to DOT regulations.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,512.40 per week
